ABEOKUTA – Segun Sowunmi appears to be the most vibrant and outspoken opposition in Ogun State, perhaps, given his role as the Spokesperson of the PDP Presidential candidate in the last election, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.

His latest outpour is a reaction to Wednesday’s Court verdict that upheld the victory of President Muhammadu Buhari at the Feb 23, 2019, Presidential election.

In a piece tagged *The Morning After*, the renowned Public Affairs Analyst commended Team Atiku Abubakar saying “there will be time to do clinical review of things, for failing to do that will deprive us all of historical learning moments especially for the young and not too young ones, surely last night must have been hard, nobody likes to lose especially under the circumstances that we have”.

He recalled the energy, the excitements, the hope and the audacity by which under the leadership of Waziri Atiku Abubakar the PDP announced to the entire world that Nigeria has come of age describing the party as “the true champions of the 2019 process”.

ametrocopy recalls that the Supreme Court on Wednesday dismissed the appeal filed by the Peoples Democratic Party and its presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, challenging the victory of President Muhammadu Buhari in the February 23, 2019, presidential election.

The Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Tanko Muhammad, who led six other members of the apex court’s panel, delivered a three-sentence judgment which put paid to the legal dispute over the poll.

The CJN, who said the reasons for the decision of the court would be made known on a date to be announced, disclosed that he and members of the panel had read all the documents and exhibits filed in the case for two weeks and found the appeal to be lacking in merit.

The judgment which was unanimously consented to by the other six members of the panel came less than an hour after the court took arguments on the appeal.
