AKURE – Labour Party, Ondo State Chapter, has expressed readiness to rescue the state by ensuring the Party reclaims the Alagbaka Government House in 2020.
A statement signed by the party’s National Vice Chairman (Southwest), Comrade Olabode Simeon made available to Journalists in Akure; the state capital said the party that has once demonstrated its capacity of good Governance and social welfare in the state for eight years “is baffled at the decadence of social amenities and welfare of our people in the last 3years of maladministration in ONDO STATE.”
The Party said it is “rudely shocked that ONDO STATE has now become a colony of a Garrison Commander!”
The statement also said the Labour Party announced it was coming with great aspirants in the likes of JOHN LALEYE AKINDELE, a United States of America successful technocrat and a team of other Professionals who shall be unveiled when the Campaign starts.
Comrade Simeon also noted he was encouraged that the likes of AKINDELE who had served the party both at National and International capacities “are coming home to join hands with us to bring back the lost glory of ONDO STATE.”
