IBADAN – The Chairperson Nigerian Army Officers’ Wives Association 2 Division Chapter Mrs. Stella Omozoje donated gift items to motherless babies home and widows from Adekunle Fajuyi and Letmauck cantonment Ibadan on Thursday 12 December 2019 at the 2 Division Garrison Parade ground as part of the NAOWA 2 Division Chapter end of the year 2019 activities.
The Chairperson during her opening speech noted that the gesture was born out of the association’s desire to reach out to the less privileged in the society “In line with the vision of our National President Mrs. UKT Buratai which is to provide succor to the less privileged within the barracks community and its environs which we are doing so as to key into this vision” she said.
She also stated that the newly acquired 18 seater bus which was commissioned and handed over to the school headteacher is for the convenient movement of the NAOWA pupils to and from school. The Chairperson also opined that the visit to the motherless babies home is also a way of contributing the association’s quota to the course of humanity in line with the association’s mission.
The occasion was graced by the 2 Division Garrison Commander who was ably represented by the Commanding Officer Admin Major SS Iko, Mrs. Abimbola Oni, Mrs. Amaka Akintade, NAOWA members, NASWA members and the widows who are the beneficiaries.
