Ibadan – A federal Commissioner with the Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission Abuja, Bimbo Kolade, has restated his resolve to continually pursue the progress and prosperity of the state irrespective of what political party is at the helm of affairs.
Speaking in Ibadan, the Oyo state capital, Kolade, who is the immediate past Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy matters in Oyo state also saluted traditional rulers in the country saying as a former commissioner in charge of Chieftaincy matters, he could not but recognize and continue to appreciate their roles in maintaining peace and unity in the country.
Speaking on the recent economic recession, he called for the quick diversification of the economy with more focus on agriculture as a viable way out of the mono-economy system.
The Oyo Central senatorial aspirant in the last election appealed to youths to embrace farming to boost the revenue of the state and develop her economy.
On a lighter mode, the seasoned builder said that contrary to speculations he was in Abuja to share the cake, like others, personally and by virtue of his work at the RMFAC, he was there to make the cake bigger.
