The Minority Leader, Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon Asimiyu Alarape, has joined the sons and daughters of the ancient town of Oyo to celebrate the Alaafin of Oyo Empire, Oba Lamidi Olayiwola Adeyemi III, over His Imperial Majesty’s 51st Coronation Anniversary on the throne of his forebears.
In a statement made available to journalists, the lawmaker representing Atiba state constituency under the platform of the APC noted that the town of Oyo and indeed Oyo state, in general, has witnessed tremendous developments and tranquility since the inception of the reign of the Monarch.
‘Kabiyesi, Iku baba yeye, the past 51 years have been filled with peace, all-around development, and prosperity. Your reign has brought us so much pride and we are always proud to identify with your Imperial Majesty.
‘Oyo town, Oyo state, and Yoruba nation, at large, have recorded landmark achievements during the reign of Oba Adeyemi’, Alarape stated.
‘As we celebrate your 51st coronation anniversary, we pray that God Almighty grant you longer life on the throne and peace all over our dear town and nation’, he concluded.
