Chief of Air Staff commends Agboworin, Makinde as Gov pledges N500m for the construction of Air Force Base in Ajia

Ibadan – Ahead of the groundbreaking for the biggest Nigerian Air Force Base in Ibadan, the Oyo state capital, the Chief of Air Staff, Air Vice MARSHAL Isiaka Amao, has commended the lawmaker representing Ibadan South East, North-East Federal Constituency, Hon Abass Adigun Agboworin for his efforts at facilitating the project.

Amao gave the commendation when he paid a courtesy call on Governor Seyi Makinde at the government office on Thursday morning.

He commended the governor for making the state conducive for the personnel while also applauding the federal lawmaker, Hon Adigun who is the Vice-Chairman, House Committee on Air force, for constantly serving as the bridge between him and the state government as well as ensuring that the project is done.

The Governor of Oyo State, ‘Seyi Makinde, promised to donate the sum of N500m for the construction of the Nigerian Air Force Base, which would be located at Ajia, Ibadan.

The Governor noted that his government will continue to support the officers and men of the NAF.

Makinde, shortly after, proceeded to the venue where the Air Force Base will be located to perform the official groundbreaking ceremony in the company of other top government functionaries.

“We want one of the best Air Force bases in the country to be located here in Ibadan, and our government will do everything possible to achieve that. On behalf of the government of Oyo State, I make a pledge that we, as a state, will contribute N500m,” Makinde stated.
