Ibadan – A Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, Oyo state, Hon Subair Kehinde, has expressed doubts over the feasibility of the new timetable for the party’s primaries.

The former majority leader of the Oyo state House of Assembly in a chat with newsmen wondered how delegates are expected to move around the various constituencies to vote at the primaries.

“There are delegates expected to vote at the primary elections both at the state and the federal levels, how are they expected to move round. Some people that will be at the governorship primary will also be at the federal election. Now there are some people that will be coming from Oke Ogun, when are we going to finish the one for the governorship for them to travel back”. Hon Subair said adding that “even if we are having the primaries in a place, how do you want to control that”.

“I think the APC at the federal level should have another look at the timetable”, he remarked.

Assuring that democracy will be allowed to thrive within the party, the Ib SW/NW House of Reps Hopeful noted that the interests of everyone will be protected.

The two-term state lawmaker while describing his ambition as a call to a higher service said after serving as a Councillor and a state Honorable, his antecedents will speak for him.

‘There are three tiers of government, the local, the state, and the federal. After serving as a Councillor, two terms; state lawmaker, two terms; between 2011 and 2019, the next place is the federal. It is a call to higher service”.

As a state Honorable, I can say there were things I achieved that none of my colleagues was able to achieve and those things stand me out”, he said.

Speaking on the recently commissioned Oyo-Iseyin road, Hon Subair commended the state Governor, Engr Seyi Makinde for completing the project initiated by the late former Governor Abiola Ajimobi.

“The governor is just completing projects initiated by Gov Abiola Ajimobi. Look at the Oyo-iseyin road, we contracted it at 7billion naira, when this administration came, it revoked it and said it will increase the width and it increased it to 10billion. Go and look at that road, it is the same size Ajimobi planned it to be. He said he stopped the Schools Governing Board but he is back with them now”.
