The minority leader of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon Asimiyu Alarape has paid glowing tributes to the late former Gov of the state, Senator Abiola Ajimobi.

The two-term Gov died on the 25th of June 2020.

Alarape, who represents the Atiba state constituency says the state has not found anyone who has come close to matching the late Governor in Governance and achievements.

‘It is still very fresh in our hearts, though it’s two years now. No one has come close to matching you in achievements as the architect of the new Oyo state’, the lawmaker mourned.

The former Speaker of the state Assembly lamented that the late Ajimobi left when duty called on him to serve the APC at the national level, saying that the family and loved ones are comforted by the quality of life he lived.

‘You know before he died, he was appointed acting national chairman of the party and he could have used his wealth of experience in turning around the party’s fortunes. But we take solace in the life he lived, his achievements speak for him and his legacy lives on.’

‘We promise to continue to light the footprints and we pray that God grant his soul a sweet repose,’he concluded.
