Ibadan – The People’s Democratic Party Senatorial candidate in Oyo Central, Chief Luqman Oyebisi Ilaka has Felicitate Nigerians particularly the Muslim Ummahs in Oyo Central Senatorial zone as they Celebrate this year Eid-el-Kabir, while also charging all to remember the sacrifice of Prophet Ibrahim.
Ilaka in a Sallah message made available to journalists from his Media office also congratulates Muslims from Oyo state who have joined other Muslims across the world to successfully participate in this year’s Hajj rites in Saudi Arabia.
As Muslims mark this significant ecclesiastical occasion the Oyo-born Politician, enjoined all to take cognizance of the purpose of the celebration, which is to mark the trials, triumph, and sacrifice of Prophet Ibrahim.
Ilaka noted that Prophet Ibrahim is remembered and revered for passing a great test of faith.
He urged residents of Oyo state, specifically the Muslim community to be steadfast and committed in their resolve to work with Engr. Oluseyi Abiodun Makinde, the Executive Governor of Oyo state towards building a better and greater state.
“I implore all to be stimulated by the exemplary virtues demonstrated by Prophet Ibrahim through his sacrifice, Patience, Love steadfastness, and Obedience to Allah’s command,” The statement said, quoting Ilaka.
The Ladilu of Oyo Kingdom advised all to remember that “Oyo state is our mutual heritage and destiny we must all work for her greatness and be guided by the “A ji se bi Oyo” spirit and firm confidence in the leadership of Governor Makinde to find solutions to our collective needs as a state, and to also galvanize us towards upholding the Pacesetter status of our dear state”.
