US University honours Oyo NNPP House of Reps candidate, Omo Iya Eleja

Ibadan -Candidate for Ibadan Northeast, Southeast Constituency Seat at the House of Representatives, under the New Nigerian People’s Party (NNPP) Hon Ibrahim Ó. Ajiboye also known as “Omo Iya Eleja” was one of the nine Nigerians bestowed with the ‘Honoris Causa’ award by Prowess University, a distinguished award held at Otunba Balogun Subomi Conference Centre, University of Ibadan.

Omo Iya Eleja was ably represented by friends and political loyalists at the event where he was conferred Doctorate Degree in Political Science (Ph.D) and also inducted as Fellow of Ecolerite Institute For Advancement (FEIPA).

According to a statement made available by his media team, he earned this honor on account of his career accomplishment and leadership potential, an internationally recognized achieve­ment of honorable distinction.

Responding on behalf of the awardee, Dr. Mrs. Olubunmi Florence said Omo Iya Eleja was im­mensely happy to be honored and received the Doctorate Degree award in good mind.

She added that it is going to be an added task for him, with hard work, per­severance and consistency of purpose he will surely continue to develop as a young leader and impact the lives of others positively.

Ibrahim Ajiboye Omo Iya Eleja has been involved in several com­munity-based organizations both in Nigeria and in the Diaspora, with a special focus on community development, youth empower­ment, and capacity building to help the youths adapt successfully to the environ­ment in the face of adversity, and advocacy for the less privileged and voiceless ones.

He is a former member of the People’s Democratic Party in Oyo state but later dumped the party over lack of internal democracy and injustices to party aspirants.

Omo Iya Eleja Emerged as the Ibadan Northeast, Southeast House of Representatives candidate of NNPP after winning the party primary in May.
