Ibadan – The lawmaker representing the Atiba state constituency at the Oyo state House of Assembly, Hon Ashimiyu Alarape, has felicitated Muslim faithful across the state and Nigeria on the celebration of the 2022 celebration of the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
Eid-el Maulud is observed in the third month of the Islamic calendar, Rabi’ al-awwal.
The OYSA Minority Leader called on Muslim Ummahs to remember the sacrifice that the life of the Prophet brought to mankind and the light brought by his life.
The former Speaker of the Oyo state House of Assembly prayed that Allah bestows his most precious blessings on all who express genuine and heartfelt joy at receiving His Greatest Blessing, the holy prophet, Muhammad.
Hon Alarape, who is the APC Candidate for Atiba State Constituency in the 2023 election also urged people in the state to seize the opportunity to pray for peace in Nigeria and the prosperity of Nigerians.
‘Every celebration is an opportunity to express love to fellow humans and seek Allah’s face. Let us remember that the Holy prophet brought with him, light and peace, so let us be light and allow peace to reign everywhere around us, Alarape concluded.
