South/South forum for good governance has joined a number of prominent groups, individuals both home and in the diaspora who have thrown their weight behind the candidature of Hon. Prince Olaide Akinremi Jagaban, for the Deputy Speaker of the 10th House of Representatives.
The forum in a Statement issued and signed by its National Coordinator, James Kingsley on Tuesday at their meeting in Abuja said that after a thorough review and fact checks, the forum reached a consensus with decisions of scores of leaders who are in tandem with the aspiration of Hon. Akinremi, saying, “Akinremi is a detribalized Nigerian with the blend of tolerance and would work to serve the interest of Nigerians if elected.
Furthermore, James emphasized that Akinremi Jagaban has earned the respect of his colleagues in the Green Chamber, and that of the electorates.
‘Our findings have also revealed to us that Hon. Akinremi Olaide Jagaban if given the opportunity to serve as the Deputy Speaker, will bring our tendencies together and unite us as a country. He will bring governance closer to the people and also make life more abundant for every Nigerian irrespective of tribe, religious background, or political affiliation.’
‘Fundamentally, People from the constituency he represents, Ibadan North Federal Constituency, Oyo State, and Nigeria, in general, know him as a very loyal and forthright gentleman who never betrays any cause to which he is committed.
Hon. Akinremi Olaide Jagaban’s forthrightness and frankness sometimes pitch him against those who would prefer guile and deception, but for him, fidelity is the highest form of honor’, he added.
James also noted that the House of Representatives was established to be the people’s House and for the people’s business.” We believe that Hon. Akinremi Jagaban will be the people’s deputy speaker elected to do the people’s business and champion their cause by fulfilling their hopes and aspiration.
There is enormous work to be done by way of quality legislation in many areas of our lives including education, health, power, infrastructure, and poverty alleviation. We believe with Hon. Akinremi Olaide Jagaban as Deputy Speaker, many of these deficits will be addressed through meaningful and impactful legislation.
The lawmaker, who was re-elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to represent Ibadan North Constituency of Oyo State is a purposeful leader, a visionary leader, He always inspired others to lead, to innovate, to grow, to develop, and explore, not minding which religion or tribe you are from.
“Our unanimous decision is also based on the fact that Akinremi Jagaban has always preached about the unity of this country irrespective of tribe, ethnic groups, Muslims and Christians, and other religions, this is for the common good of all of us and the more reason we want him to be elected as deputy speaker of the federal house of representative.
Mr. Kingsley implored the good people of Nigeria to also drum support for the candidacy of Hon. Akinremi Olaide Jagaban as the Deputy Speaker.
He prayed that God in his infinite mercy will continue to guide his way and grant him more opportunities to touch lives.
“If elected as Deputy speaker of the federal house of Representatives, Hon. Akinremi Olaide Jagaban will give a qualitative representation and will live a life of purpose.
“The purpose of living is to live a life of purpose.” He submitted
