Ibadan – The Chairman, Oyo state chapter of Amalgamated Commercial Motorcycle Riders of Nigeria (ACOMORAN), Comrade Solomon Olugbode was on Tuesday decorated with an award of Distinguished Leadership by the Rescue Corp in commemoration of 2023 United Nations Global Road Safety Campaign.

The programe was attended by officials from the Federal Road Safety Corp (FRSC), Vehicle Inspection Office (VIO), Oyo state Fire Service and some other stakeholders.

He spoke in reaction to the recently passed Bill aimed at regulating the activities of Commercial Motorcyclists in the state.

Comrade Olugbode said the challenges of safety and insecurity can be resolved if the state government can return tricycle and motorcycle parks which have been violently taken over by motorist unions back to ACOMORAN.
