Ibadan – The Oyo State chapter of ACOMORAN has congratulated Governor Seyi Makinde on the commencement of his second term in office.
At a Press conference addressed by its Chairman, Comrade Solomon Olugbode, the union while appreciating the Governor for the understanding he showed it’s members in the past years also made a list of requests from the newly inaugurated government.

Today is the day the Lord has made, we will rejoice and be glad in it. We are here today to rejoice and celebrate four years of successful and godly government voted by the people but maintained by people-friendly policies that have facilitated accelerated development to the state.
One thing about human is that we can go to any length to make a request but ignore using same strength to appreciate.
ACOMORAN Oyo state will not be like nine lepers ,who were healed by the Lord Jesus Christ but refused to return to show gratitude, we will rather be the one leper, who returned to appreciate the Lord’s mercy.

Riding Tricycle/motorcycle for commercial purposes has security challenges in the last four years that some state considered outright or partial ban of this sector in their states, and consequently, the helpless riders were sent out of labour market. Rather than suffer the innocent ones in Oyo state, the God Sent Man (GSM) Engr Seyi Makinde decided to regulate and give us opportunity to live responsibly but wage war against the miscreants using motorcycle to commit crime. Today we are disciples witnessing godly Leadership in Governor Seyi Makinde.

JOURNEY FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT
We believe there must be sacrifice against discrimination and arbitrary rule, freedom should not be taken for granted but people should also be accountable for their actions and inactions, each of us has a duty to sustain this.
In view of this, we appeal to the government to give autonomy of tricycle and motorcycle in the state.
In the medical profession, the doctors and nurses has their different union/association and training, this is reason for competence in health sector, the judiciary has judges, lawyers and other judicial staff with different union. Riding is different from driving, the particulars are different and the training are also different despite using the same road.
The unruly behavior in tricycle/ motorcycle parks was a result of violent take over of our parks by the motorists about two decades ago. We have ability to sanitize riding operation in Oyo state if those parks forcefully taken over can be returned to us (ACOMORAN).
Information is useless, unless you know the interpretation, ACOMORAN is the only union responding to member’s need through seminars, with our parks duly registered with local government authorities.
The newly created Oyo State Mobilization Agency for Socio-Economic Development (OMASED) is well appreciated and we promised total cooperation.
However, fresh report reaching us was that some people parading themselves as members of the disolved PMS are going about trying to stop our people from their legitimate duty.
In view of this, we appeal to the police for a swift response whenever there is a call because their action is an attempt to brew crises in the state.
