Diaspora PDP Reformers and PDP National Women Parliament have urged the residents of Osun state to rally around the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Governorship candidate, Sen. Ademola Adeleke in a bid to achieve victory in the coming July 16 Gubernatorial election.
Speaking on behalf of the group, Mrs. Olanike Babawande, the Women Leader, warned the residents of the state, not to allow a repeat of the 2018 election in which the party was robbed of victory.
She further urged them to be vigilant before and after the election.
She spoke in a letter made available to Ametrocopy.
Mrs. Babawande, who is also the Diaspora Coordinator for PDP National Women Parliament said that the present All Progressive Congress (APC) government in the state has nothing to offer again apart from their usually abysmal insecurity and failed economic ideologies, adding that if Sen. Ademola Adeleke receives the necessary support of the people, the state will achieve the desired peace, progress and robust economic development that it deserves to lift all boats up in the state.
“Osun state people should show APC that the era of inconclusive and rigged elections is over in the state, and they should not allow the enemy of the people who camouflaged themselves as elders in the society to trick them again. Osun people are wiser now and APC can no longer deceive us with lies and deceit again. We now know that we need the People’s Democratic Party and Sen. Ademola Adeleke for the state to move forward positively in economic prosperity, statewide security, and as well as in infrastructural development,” Babawande said.
She reiterated the state’s desire for a leader in the mold of Sen. Ademola Adeleke, who understands the importance and needs of the youths and women so that he can bring positive ideologies into the governance of the state.
She, however, stated that the party is optimistic about emerging victorious in the forthcoming governorship election, urging the people of the state to get their Permanent Voter’s Card (PVC) ready, ahead of the coming election.
