Ibadan – Oyo lawmaker, Asimiyu Alarape, representing Atiba state constituency, has congratulated the national leader of the All Progressive Congress and former Governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Bola Hammed Tinubu on his victory at the just concluded APC presidential primary election.
Describing Asiwaju’s victory as a victory for the Southerners and indeed all Nigerians, the former Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly lauded Tinubu for his tenacity and doggedness.
‘This is a huge victory for the South, the South West, and all Nigerians. Asiwaju fought a good fight and we thank God he won. It’s indeed a new dawn for us’ he said.
Hon Alarape urged Asiwaju to be magnanimous in victory and work with friends and foes alike for the APC to win the 2023 presidential election.
‘This is not the time for fights or rambling, it’s the time to galvanize everything and everyone, putting aside our differences for us to win the presidential election.’
‘We cannot rest now, work has just begun, and by God’s grace, Asiwaju Bola Hammed Tinubu will be Nigeria’s president come 2023’, Alarape affirmed.
