Oyo ACOMORAN felicitates Chairman as he bags a doctorate degree

Ibadan – Members of The Amalgamated Commercial Tricycle and Motorcycle Owners, Repairs and Riders Association of Nigeria (ACOMORAN), Ibadan North/ East and South/East chapter has congratulated the state Chairman of the association, Comrade Olugbode Solomon as he bags an honorary doctorate degree (PhD.) in Transport and Logistics.

Olugbode was conferred the honorary doctorate degree from the West African University, Cotonou, the Benin Republic during the 5th convocation and lecture of the university.

The honorary doctorate degree award conferred on Comrade Olugbode according to the university’s Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Olayiwola O. was in recognition of Olugbode’s immense contribution to the transport and logistics business in the state as well as the sanity brought to the operations and activities of ACOMORAN in Oyo state.

The event which held at the University of Ibadan, Ibadan, had others from different parts of Nigeria receiving different honorary and academic degree awards from the University.

By the award, Comrade Olugbode according to the university has officially become entitled to the title of a Dr being a recipient of the honorary Doctor of Philosophy award from the institution and can henceforth be formally addressed as Dr. Olugbode.

According to the guest speaker at the event, Professor Abiodun Amuda-Kannike, the Dean, the Faculty of Law, Kwara state university, entrepreneurship is the new goldmine Nigerians must strive to venture into; regardless of whatever level acquired paper certificates.

Olugbode, in his brief remarks, while addressing journalists shortly after the ceremony dedicated the award to Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo state and all ACOMORAN members across the state.

He said Governor Makinde through his purposeful and visionary leadership has created an enabling environment for the operations of tricycle and commercial motorcycle businesses to thrive making ACOMORAN a viable employer of labor creating employment opportunities for thousands of Nigerians who may have become threats to the society.
