Popular Ibadan-based Broadcaster, Oladapo Alao Omo Oba Ogo has lost his wife.
Deaconess Rachael Iyabo Alao nee Bakare died on Sunday 2nd of July at the age of 49.
Speaking with Ametrocopy, Omo Oba Ogo said his wife breathed her last at exactly 5.30 am after battling with an illness for some years.
While thanking everyone who stood by the family through the trying period of her sickness, he expressed assurance that his wife has gone to rest.
‘She could not bear it anymore. I was with her begging her to stay with me but she took a long look at me and shook her head before she took her last breath. She died on her son’s laps’.
Omo Oba Ogo noted that he draws strength from the story of David in the bible who after loosing a son changed his garment adding that he could not do anything to bring her back.
Deaconess Alao has since been buried but further information will be shared with the public soon.
She is survived by her husband, her son and grandchildren.
