Oyo CP decorates 11 newly Promoted Officers

IBADAN – The Commissioner of Police, Oyo state command, CP Sina Olukolu on Monday decorated 11 police officers promoted to the next rank.

According to the CP, 5 officers were promoted from the rank of the Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP) to the rank of the Assistant Commissioner of Police, while 6 officers were promoted from the post of Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) to the rank of the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP).

The promoted Chief Superintendents are ACP. Alex Asade, ACP. Edun Azeez, ACP. Abdul Adejo, ACP. Agboola Olajide, ACP. Bawa Elisa while the promoted Assistant Commissioners are DCP. Akoh Gabriel, DCP. Reis Obafunke, DCP. Abaniwonda Olaolu, DCP. Aboki Danjuma, DCP. Eribo Joseph.

The Oyo State Commissioner of Police, CP. Shina Olukolu, while decorating the officers maintained that promotion is a thing of joy as it makes a man move up in his efforts at carrying out his assigned work.

Olukolu called on the newly promoted officers to apply dedication, commitment, and the act of professionalism in carrying out their constitutional roles in their new offices.

He further appreciated the Inspector General of Police, IGP Muhammad Adamu for his magnanimity in extending the promotion of new officers to the Oyo state command while assuring that the command will never let him down.

Most senior among the promoted officers, DCP Akoh Gabriel, while speaking on behalf of others appreciated the Inspector General of Police, IGP Adamu for the new development.

He further applauded the Commissioner of Police, CP. Shina Olukolu for accommodating their mistakes during their waiting time.

“Promotion comes with additional responsibilities and this is a call for movement.”

We are highly motivated and we will remain more dedicated and committed to achieving the objectives of the force.

We promise not to let the command down, and we will continue to perform our obligations professionally”.

Reviewing the activities of the command for 2019, The Oyo state Commissioner of Police, CP. Shina Olukolu maintained that the command under his supervision has not done badly in carrying out their roles.

He further revealed the intention of the forces to rejigged the command in readiness for the activities in 2020 so that Oyo people can sleep with their eyes closed.

Olukolu also condoled with victims of fire incidents that occurred in Akesan Market, The furniture factory at Iyaganku area, and in Omi Adio, Ibadan last week.
