The Member, representing Ibadan North-East/South-East Federal Constituency, Hon. Abass Adigun popularly known as Agboworin, has commended Gov. Seyi Makinde for making a notable impact in boosting the economy of Ibadan City and Oyo State.
In a release signed by his Director Of Communication And Media, Aremu Ibraheem, Hon. Abass, who is also the Vice-chairman House Committee On Airforce, congratulated Governor Seyi Makinde, the Managements of Alakia Airport, and Air Peace for the successful commencement of the Ibadan flights.
Governor Seyi Makinde had commissioned the renovated and remodeled Protocol/VIP Lounge at the Ibadan Airport, Alakia, providing an operational vehicle, a fire truck, constructing and installing a 500,000-litre aviation fuel facility as parts of the steps Oyo State Government had taken to upgrade the airport.
Agboworin noted that With the commencement of Air Peace flight, connecting Ibadan from other parts of the country will become very easy as Air Peace has brought down the fares and operates Ibadan- Port-Harcourt and Ibadan – Enugu routes too.
He also noted that business activities in the area and axis of Ibadan airport, Alakia will improve, Ibadan Airports will evolve from infrastructure providers to complex businesses that produce considerable commercial development well beyond their perimeters.
‘The land surrounding the airports has become a focal point for a range of economic activities that thrive on long-distance connectivity.” Hon. Abass said.
Hon. Abass Adigun added that “This is a testimony of good governance, and we are proud of your performance Sir”, His Excellency Governor Seyi Makinde.
