Ibadan – Oyo State ACOMORAN under the leadership of Dr Solomon Olugbode has dissolved the executive of the union in Akinyele local government, following years of division and fractional challenges.
This was contained in the resolution of the Union’s meeting held in Ibadan on Thursday.
According to the resolution made available to Ametrocopy, the union embraces Mr. Habedeen Bakare and Mr Kamorudeen Kareem in the council of state elders as recommended by the committee.
Other three executives will also be recognized as elders at Local Government with their allowances.
‘All documents of the association in the Akinyele Local Government should be submitted to the state while a new executive led by Comrade Lateef Lasisi should take over with immediate effect in Ibadan Northwest. The executive is also overdue and is here by dissolved by virtues of provisions of the Constitution. Alh. Shuaib Quadri has been contributing at the state level and therefore his efforts will not be allowed to go down the drain. While he will be accommodated into the fold of the state as an officer after choosing to do away with the rival union activities including the signboards’, the resolution added.
The resolution also stated that the executive of Ibadan Northwest local government ‘ is to be led by Alatise Muyideen.
The Union, while appreciating the Oyo State Government , under Engr. Oluseyi Abiodun Makinde, the Executive Governor and the commissioners working with the Governor to give Oyo State a new look and the intervention to bring permanent peace to transportation and ACOMORAN after 14 years.
Dr Olugbode commended the great leader Otunba Seye Famojuro for his constant intervention and for not getting tired on issue of transporters in the state, and equally expressed gratitude to Alh. Tomiwa Omolewa (Tommy) the number 1 transporter in Oyo State for the peace among transporters in the State as well as Alhaji Akeem Adebayo Kuso and the national president of ACOMORAN, Alhaji Samsudeen Apelogun AKA All Rounder.
