Ibadan – The need for Quantity Surveyors to be involved in construction projects right from the planning stage cannot be overemphasized.
QS Oluwade Kolawole, Chairman of the Nigerian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (NIQS), Oyo State Chapter, made this clear on The Landlords – The Radio Edition with Oneplot.
He stressed the importance of holding a Coordinating Meeting at the beginning of every project — a session where all professionals involved come together to plan effectively.
Speaking on “Balancing Quality and Cost in Building,” QS Oluwade advised investors to leverage the improved road networks currently being developed by the Oyo State Government when making their investment decisions.
He also emphasized the importance of understanding the Land Use Act, especially for those looking to invest in land and property development.
